Dr. Romero was born and raised in Akron, OH. He went to The Ohio State University for undergrad where he graduated with a bachelors in Biology. He then traveled to the Island of St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean to study at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He did a clinical year at the University of Illinois. He started his veterinary career with a small animal rotating internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron Ohio. He then moved to Richmond, Virginia for a surgical internship with Virginia Veterinary Surgical Associates. His surgical journey continued with a move to Massachusetts (just outside of Boston) for a second surgical internship with New England Animal Medical Center’s Surgery team. He then decided to return to Ohio in 2021 and started with us at Animal Medical Center of Gahanna.

Dr. Romero has a passion for surgery and is trained in several specialty orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. He spends his time outside the hospital with his fiancée Megan and their 2 dogs (Buttercup and Gus Gus) and 2 cats (Baker and Kronk). He is a fan of the Buckeyes and all Cleveland sports teams. He also enjoys playing video games, playing volleyball, and watching movies with his AMC A-List crew.
